I almost forgot this story. The other night when we were food shopping, there was a guy in front of us with two girls. They were older than ours, maybe 6 and 4? Anyway, he hears Kerry say something to Katherine, and he turns to his older and says "Her name is Katherine too!" Older girl gets all wide-eyed. "Wait...her name is Katherine?" "Yup." "With a K or a C?" "K." Eyes go wider. "That how you spell it?" "Yes! How do you spell the whole thing?" "-ine. You too?" Eyes bug out of her head. I turn to the younger one, gesturing to Elizabeth. "And her name is Elizabeth. What's yours?" I ask. "Caroline," she says. "With a K or a C?" I ask. Kids don't get my sense of humor.
