Thurl Ravenscroft, best known as the voice of Tony the Tiger and the song "You're A Mean One, Mr. Grinch" has died. He was 91.

That name always stuck in my head because it is so unique. According to the trivia, his name didn't actually appear in the credits when the tv show first came out, and Dr. Seuss himself had to fix the situation.

I could've sworn it was Howard Keel who sang it!
I was thinking that it sounded like James Earl Jones. That is what lead me to google for who it was.
Haha that was exactly what I thought and I went to google as well to find out.
I still think it's Howqrd Keel

I always thought it was Boris Karloff. Did he do the Narrative of the original cartoon?
