Nope, I'm sorry, Dancing with the Stars just lost it for me. Sorry for the spoiler if it wasn't obvious, but not only did Kelly win, she also got a perfect 30 score. Reasons why i don't believe it:
No way. The ABC message boards are already flooded. It never even dawned on me that General Hospital (Kelly's show) is on ABC and thus she's 'their girl'. But hey, could be. Shame, really.

Re: Dancing With The Stars : Fixed?
I couldn't agree with you more. When Kelly and Alec did their last dance, I was thinking, "I think they blew it.", as it looked as though she forgot her steps a couple of times and made mistakes. Unsolicited comments from my friends made me realize it was not my imagination. I happened to tape the show and every time I watch it Kelly looks worse. You can see her look at Alec for cues.
It is unfortunate, as I loved the concept, the costumes, the energy! Fixed competitions lack integrity and the audience sees right through it. John and Charlotte were the obvious choice. I imagine they wanted to twist the ending as well as get their own star on top.
People are marveling at Kelly's back flip in her free style - but it was sloppy. Also - she had a bump and grind style to show off her incredible body... but she had nothing on Charlotte... who also had an incredible body. Overall, I didn't feel Kelly deserved to win YET anytime an underdog wins something it inspires people. So perhaps ABC's need to have 'their star win' served a dual purpose in terms of inspiring 'underdogs'. That's my positive spin on it.

Kelly Monaco gave a tremendous performance! She worked harder than ANYONE on that show and DID give the performaces of the series, she knew exactly what she was doing, and if you are talking about when she is looking at Alec for what appears to be "Cues" that is part of the routine. Kelly was harshly insulted by the judges more than once, and she took that, turning it into positivity. There wasn't any favoritism. Kelly is a fighter and definitely proved she is the champ!

Actually there's a simple problem with your theory, and that is that when the judges gave her all 10's in the final episode they essentially destroyed the integrity of the entire show. As far as I'm concerned you couldn't prove to me that she deliberately did poorly in the first episodes, and was actually a good dancer the whole time. That whole "worked harder than anybody" thing was a predictable storyline from the first week where she didn't get eliminated (check my original post, I think I even said that). To have her win it, with a pefect score, just went into the realm of fantasy.

You better believe it was fixed! Kelly Monoco slipped at the end of her final routine. And, if anybody ever says she didn't slip, then it was lousy choreography!

The only thing that was fixed was the dance off. It was staged in an effort to comfort all the sour grape people out there. As for the "real" contest, the general public votes for the most entertaining dancers. That was Kelly! she was wonderful and she won fair and square.

I'm not into the show all that much, but it's obvious that it's "fixed". Last year when Mario Lopez was fakily "yelled at" by the panel for not doing some steps right, that cinched it for me. We would be naive to think that they are not tweaking the show in order to make it more "dramatic". They certainly do tweak it. Most people buy it, though. Still, it is enjoyable to watch to some degree. :)

Just watch Marie Osmond if you think it isn't fixed. She should have been thrown off long ago.
