Assorted geeky things, reality tv, and bragging about my kids

Surely it's no surprise that NBC's The Law Firm is getting boot after just 2 episodes. The remaining episodes that have already been shot will be shown on Bravo, preferably at about 2:37am. The only thing good to be said about the series is that it brought WWE Smackdown up in the ratings. ;)

Does this surprise anybody? The commercials made it sound like some sort of weird reality Law & Order...when in reality it was more like The People's Court. The one episode I partially saw, on vacation with no Tivo, was something about a three legged dog. Painful to watch them fight over whether the dog counted as evidence, or a witness.

The realllly annoying thing is that NBC cancelled shows like American Dreams for this trash. I'm sure that this won't be the only horrible show that doesn't survive a half season. But they won't bring back a show that had a loyal audience for 5 seasons.

Idiots like you are the reason an intelligent show was cancelled. This only demonstrates Americans' ignorance of the legal process in this country. It really is a shame.
Actually most of my wife's family (father, brother, uncle...) are lawyers, so I get a daily glimpse into the legal process in this country. Go ask a real lawyer just how ignorant they find such shows. Nice try, though.
I am a lawyer. I never watch television, and this was one of the few I actually did have the opportunity to view and enjoy. So as far as "trying" goes, I dont even have to. I guess I found out why I dont watch TV after all. It seems people enjoy watching others try to eat rotten donkey balls more than something intellectual. A pity, really.
